Vasant Panchmi 2012
Vasant Panchmi (Shikshapatri Jayanti ) was celebrated on Saturday, 28 th January 2012. After the Mangla Aarti at 5.30am, an Uttsav Mandal led Acharya Swamishree from Swamibapa Hall to the temple sihashan. The sponsors of the festival carried sacred pots and accompanied Acharya Swamishree as the Uttsav Mandal sang kirtans welcoming the Lord to the temple.

Charitable Event - 16th January 2012
A charitable event was hosted on 16th January 2012 by Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, Shree Swaminarayan Temple Nairobi. This noble cause was graced by the presence of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree and the Hon. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, the Vice President of Kenya as the chief guest of the occassion.

Makar Sankranti (kite Festival) 2012
Makar Sankranti was celebrated on Saturday, 14th January 2012. Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj , Jeevanpean Abji Bapashree and Muktajeevan Swamibapa were adorned in diamond studded garments and ornaments. The sihashan was decorated with bright coloured kites.

Arusha Tanzania Vicharan 2012
The tour of Arusha, Tanzania took place from 9th to 13th January 2012. HDH Acharya Swamishree, sant mandal and devotees left Nairobi soon after Mangla Aarti on the morning of 9th January 2012.

Maasai Mara Vicharan
HDH Acharya Swamishree and the entourage visited Maasai Mara National Reserve from 6th January 201 to 8th January 2012. The sant mandal and devotees took abode at David Livingstone Safari Lodge; the lodge lies on the Mara River at the edge of Maasai Mara National Reserve and overlooks deep pools where crocodiles and hippos bask all day.

Sports Festival
Sports festival was the last event held to mark the conclusion of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj Patotsav celebrations in Nairobi. This took place from 26 th December 2011 to 2 nd January 2012. The youth engaged themselves in various group activities which strengthen their bond of attachment. The young and the old cheered each sport activity with great interest.

New Year Celebrations - 1st January 2012
To commence a list of activities for the year, HDH Acharya Swamishree inaugurated a set of DVD serial 'Sarvopari Sarvavtari Shree Swaminarayan Bhagvan Serial' and 'Bhakti Sangeet and Nrutya Nite' held on 22nd December 2011 in presence of the Chief Guest of the occasion, Mr. Charles Gitonga, a Chief Magistrate in Kenya.
